We offer the following services to help our clients address the business and personal challenges facing them today. Individually and together, each becomes one tool in a kit of parts that can be fine-tuned to to help you find your “Right Path” to success.

“A Leader is anyone who is able to create positive change and achieve desired results.”

Three Essential Elements:

1. Attitude Development: Attitudes are the basis of all behavior; therefore, in order to develop or enhance leadership behavior, it is essential that we begin by developing positive, success-oriented attitudes.

2. Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Much of what a leader is involved in, and therefore accomplishes, involves other people. It is important therefore to work on one’s own Self Awareness/Self Regulation, and Social Awareness/Social Regulation to effectively use your interpersonal skills to communicate, influence and persuade others to do what is necessary for the organization to succeed. EQ is not book-learned, but an experiential developmental process of learning and incorporating new behaviors.

3. Strategic Thinking: Leadership, among other things, is establishing the Vision and Mission for the organization. It requires a strategic mindset that moves one’s efforts from “working in the business” to “working on the business” Strategic thinking is integral to successfully addressing the evolving business landscape and recognizing the organizational, market and process changes that might be required to meet these new challenges.

Critical Issues Covered Within This Process:

  • Motivation Behavior and Conditioning
  • Attitude Development
  • Personal and Organizational Goal Setting
  • Roadblocks to Success
  • Creative Power and Visualization
  • Managing Your Time

“Coaching is a powerful relationship for people making important changes in their lives.”

  • Are you an executive who is “lonely at the top”? Are you in need of someone to talk to about what is most important in your business & personal life?
  • Do you feel successful, but not quite fully satisfied?
  • Are you dealing with the Imposter’s Syndrome – not confident in your own self-worth?
  • Are you struggling with work and life balance?

Coaching is a prodigious, highly tuned process of communication and problem solving.  The relationship between coach and client is “co-creative.” It focuses entirely on the client’s interests, challenges and goals.

Coaching is NOT therapy, but Coaching can be THERAPEUTIC. Having a coach provides a sounding board for the most difficult conversations that can’t be held with anyone else. A coach will listen but will also challenge your basic assumptions so that you can reflect and reveal to yourself what is truly behind the current difficulty. This process of articulating, being challenged, reflecting and revealing new perspectives and truths can lead to an unburdening of the emotional weight that we experience when we are stuck. Once un-stuck, coaching can create the clarity needed to move forward.

Steve’s approach to coaching is holistic. He helps his clients reflect on both professional and personal facets that must work together to find the balance and value that creates meaning in one’s life. He brings active listening skills to the table to listen to both what is said and what is NOT said in his coaching sessions — the things that are less visible and unsaid are often the most important items to address. Few executive coaches share Steve’s C-level experience. Shared experiences in the C-suite can be invaluable in creating the empathy and understanding of the challenges that exist for executives at this level.

Behavioral assessments are an integral tool used in Steve’s coaching. The Assessments can bring focus to areas of development and provide new insights and strategies about how to be more effective based on identifying blind spots and areas of strength.

“Forum is about establishing a trusted community of business colleagues with whom we confidentially share experiences and develop a respect for each other that transforms each one of us to be better than we can be by ourselves.”

A Peer Forum has elements that business school students experience in case study discussions and study groups. The Forum makes it possible to develop the kind of meaningful relationships that are extremely difficult for people to achieve as one is further from school and well-along one’s career path. Peer Forums are self-managing by peer-selected moderators who follow a specified Forum protocol, with orientation principles, methods and ongoing support.

Peer Forums start with a discussion of work-related issues, and members gain access to perspectives that inform their work lives. Personal issues are inevitably addressed as the group builds a trusting bond. Forums can discuss anything that is of interest to them, with members learning from one another’s experiences in a collaborative, structured setting. They typically deal with a gamut of matters (e.g. the effects of the economic crisis on your business, aging parents and other family challenges or even such things as sudden success). A Forum offers you a safe, completely confidential environment for discussing the issues important to you.

Peer forums are offered under the Haas Alumni Forum Program.

The best way to predict the future is to create it.

Business owners and leaders today have found that developing a strategy and implementation plan is far more effective than leaving the future to chance. This clear strategy, vision, and specific plan of action contributes to long-term, sustainable success. If implemented correctly, it will create higher levels of motivation, commitment, and fuel continuously higher levels of achievement from everyone within the organization.

We partner with you to develop a strategic plan that is a living document: easily accessible, frequently referenced and modifiable as necessary. Our process offers an ongoing evaluation of the plan and fine-tuning where needed. We become your accountability agents in ensuring that what you have set out in the strategic plan is truly being implemented.

Steps for an effective planning process include:

• Defining your values and principles
• Articulating your business philosophy, mission and vision
• External assessment of market opportunities
• Internal appraisal of current assets (people, market strengths, etc.)
• S.L.O.T. analysis
• Establishing and prioritizing critical goals
• Creating a marketing & sales plan
• Creating an investment plan
• Implementing the plan

As with most individuals, setting goals is easy; making them happen is excruciating.

We have a process to help you plan, set realistic goals and ensure that you’ll successfully achieve these goals. Foundational to the effort is to make sure that the goals are yours—unless they are truly yours, no amount of effort can be expended that will result in successfully attaining them.

Our criteria for goals are that they be SMART:
S: Specific
M: Measureable
A: Attainable
R: Realistically High and Result-Oriented
T: Time Bound with a Target Date

Our process includes a thoughtful evaluation of both the consequences and benefits of no action, or action; an identification of obstacles preventing no action; and an evaluative process for goal implementation.

If you would like to know more about our goal planning process and rigorous approach to achievement, please contact us.

We offer an array of assessment tools to understand the underlying dimensions that drive you as an individual, or as groups within organizations.

We are certified to administer the Innermetrix suite of assessments called Advanced Insights© which includes the Attribute Index, DISC Index and Values Index.

We also administer a proprietary diagnostic for groups called D.I.A.L.O.G (Data Indicating Alignment of Organizational Goals) to assess underlying issues of misalignment and motivation within your group, department, or the entire company. We use these tools in a fact-finding exercise at the beginning of many engagements.Alternatively, these assessments can be used on their own in an array of applications.
